Conceptual design of a building with educational, therapeutic, and laboratory functions. The new facility will primarily operate as a veterinary clinic providing private and public services as part of classes for veterinary students. The building is designed to treat large animals—primarily horses.

The building’s functional program consists of the following areas:

• a hospital area consisting of an operating room, anesthesia boxes with special winches, auxiliary rooms, and a staff locker room
• an outpatient area consisting of two outpatient clinics with laboratory facilities and horse stalls
• a laboratory and office area intended for processing research results
• an internal hospital stable
• a student area consisting of lecture halls, student locker rooms, common and social spaces
