Expansion of the Marshal’s Office of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in Kielce
Competition entry awarded second place.
The competition design for the expansion of the Marshal’s Office of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship offers a comprehensive response to the complex architectural and urban planning challenges associated with the historic building complex. The structure we designed complements a key urban element, maintaining harmony through both its overall form and the geometry of its vertical and horizontal divisions.
While the design incorporates a range of distinctive, contemporary architectural and technical solutions that allow it to maintain a unique stylistic identity, it simultaneously preserves compositional coherence. It demonstrates a sensitive approach to the site’s complex context, the functionality of the surrounding public realm, and the architectural and urban scale. Furthermore, the functional solutions are designed to ensure the office operates efficiently and comfortably for its users in the most ergonomic manner possible. The functional and formal concepts proposed during the initial study phase of the competition have been further detailed and developed in this submission—covering aspects ranging from the building’s overall aesthetic and functional program to its relationship with the historical context, access zones, integration with the surrounding area, and the design of public spaces.
